We’re so excited to finally open the doors of our store to the public and to share a lot more French goodies than at the markets! You’ll quickly see that we have a way bigger kitchen than the storefront but that was necessary if we wanted to provide you with quality baked goods. There’s no seating for now but we’re applying for a patio licence to get some seating outside and we’ll see how we can fit a bench or chairs inside so you can sit down and relax to enjoy your café-croissant!
Now, a few practical details:
We will open our doors to the public for the first time on Thursday, December 22 at 7:30am. Regular business hours will be 7:30am to 6:30pm from Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 1pm on Sundays (closed on Mondays). Hours may vary in the first few weeks as we adjust to the demand so please check our website or Facebook page to get up to date information.
Full Holiday hours will be announced on our website and Facebook page as well but we’ll be open until 6:30pm on New Years Eve, closed on January 1 and 2.
Starting Thursday, we will sell gift certificates for the macarons classes that will start in January (you can buy it for yourself, we won’t tell)! Once or twice a month on a Sunday afternoon, we’ll organize a 3-hours hands-on class where you’ll learn how to bake macarons with David. After the class, you’ll go home with your production and supplies to make another batch at home (ground almonds, icing sugar, chocolate, piping bags). Complimentary tea and coffee will be served and David will be happy to answer all your questions. Macarons classes are $120 (tax included) per person and limited to 6 participants per class. If you book a private lesson for a group of 6 (for a party or a corporate event for example), there will be a 10% discount.
Until mid-January, we probably won’t have a full line-up of products but we will introduce new items on a regular basis. From the start, we will have at least macarons (by the piece and in gift boxes), canelés, brioches, croissants and other viennoiseries, baguettes, sandwiches, chocolate mousse, lava cakes, florentins and hot and cold beverages. For your Christmas shopping, we also have gift sets of Kusmi tea tins. The lovely Kristen and Sarah behind the counter will try their best to provide you with a great experience but please bear with us as there may be some glitches to fix at the beginning!
We’re looking forward to welcoming you in the store! Have a happy Holiday season!
Thank you to Enon of Watermelon Windows for the window decor!
