We are both tea lovers and we wanted to make sure you would enjoy a great cup of tea with our pastries so we decided to go with the reputable Kusmi Tea House. All their teas have very pleasant aromas and remarkably smooth and balanced flavours that will wonderfully complement a croissant, a macaron or tea cakes such as financiers and madeleines. Although canelés are great with tea, they’re even better paired with coffee,we’ll let you know soon what we have in store for you there!
Tea and macarons are a match made in heaven and will make great presents for the foodies and tea lovers in your life. We’ll have nice sampler packs of Kusmi teas in tins to buy on their own or in a gift package with sweet treats (macarons, florentins…). We can also make larger gift baskets upon order that you can fill as you wish (we’ll be happy to assist you in choosing the products).
We will start with 9 different flavours of Kusmi teas, a mix of flavoured green and black teas including some decaf and herbal. We’ll do some sampling in the store for you to get familiar with them! We’ve tried a few and it’s really hard to pick a favourite!
Kusmi Tea House was “born in Saint Petersburg, raised in Paris”. With 140 years of history behind the brand, it has become a staple in the French tea tradition as one of the best and most renowned tea houses. Its Russian background gives it a something special that makes it totally unique and its cosmopolitan nature should resonate with Vancouverites’ taste buds. Since its inception in 1867 in Russia and subsequent move to Paris in 1917, Kusmi Tea has been carrying on the same activity to offer connoisseurs and gourmets exclusive blends and high quality traditional teas. It’s distributed all over the world, with its own boutiques and a network of fine food stores, hotels, cafés and tea rooms but Kusmi’s only store in Canada is located in Montreal. We think that, just as the macarons mania, it’s about time Kusmi teas reach Canada’s Western shores!
