We are so happy our humble “Maca’nucks” made its way to the front page of 24 Hours today (next to the guy with the sword…)! This blue and green French macaron is our artisanal attempt at showing our love for the Canucks and our faith they’re gonna go all the way and bring the Cup home!
While reading the article this morning I realized I totally forgot to tell the journalist that we bake everything from scratch and that inside the melt-in-your-mouth macaron is an artisanal very flavourful pistachio paste. I guess that’s so obvious to us that it didn’t occur to me that it may not be to others 🙂
And I did say that Vancitybride.com was nice enough to let us use the awesome picture she took of her macarons but they cut it and they even removed the stamp we put on the picture 🙁
Anyway, time to go back to the kitchen and ice some more sticks!
We take orders for Wednesday (limited quantity available) and will deliver or have the macarons ready for you to pick up before the game. And we will sell them at the Steveston Farmers’ Market this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm in front of the Gulf of Georgia Cannery. Macarons can be stored 5 days in the fridge so you can stock up! Limited quantities available, feel free to pre-order before picking-up at the market!
