After a busy week-end at the markets, we went back to the kitchen on Labour Day and came up with a new macaron filled with a Maple syrup-White chocolate ganache with bits of roasted pecans inside. It seems like summer is here to stay for a while (which is great!) but we were inspired by the leaves turning red to explore more autumnal flavours…
We like to name our macarons and we’re counting on you to help naming this one!
You can play either in French or in English (then we’ll translate into French) by submitting a name in a comment on this blog post or on Facebook before Sunday, September 11 and if we pick your suggestion, you’ll be rewarded with a pack of 6 macarons to pick up at a market!
This macaron and other flavours and our usual goodies (canelés, madeleines, financiers, brioche, chocolate-raspberry lava cake) are available this week at Main Street Farmers Market on Wednesday Sept. 7, at Royal City Farmers Market on Thursday Sept. 8 and at Lonsdale Quay Farmers’ Market on Saturday, September 10.
From October 1 to December 10, don’t miss the Vancouver Bakers’ Market every Saturday in Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre (except Oct. 22 and Nov. 19)!
“Make it! The Handmade Revolution” will be back at the Croatian Cultural Centre for the Winter edition: November 24-25-26-27! We’ll be there with over 100 local designers and artisans!
Stay tuned, more events to be announced in September…
